Inside Verigate Verify

Seeing is not always believing.

Watch how Verigate approaches suspected deepfakes, synthetic audio and disputed digital content through source checks, corroboration and evidence-led reasoning.

VERIGATE VERIFY / CLARITY. EVIDENCE. DISCRETION.
The challenge

Seeing is no longer
always believing.

A convincing recording, photograph or message is not automatically an authentic one.

Artificial intelligence has made convincing synthetic and manipulated content more accessible than ever. The consequences can be very real: financial loss, damaged reputations, misleading evidence and decisions made on false information.

Verigate Verify brings traditional investigative thinking to modern digital questions. We look beyond a single detector result to examine available files, sources, context and corroborating information — then explain the findings in plain English.

Four ways to question
the evidence.

Whether a single recording is worrying you or a larger investigation depends on disputed material, we'll help identify what is useful to examine.

SYNTHETIC MEDIA / VISUAL EVIDENCE

Image & video authenticity

Investigating suspected deepfake videos, AI-generated images, altered photographs and misleading visual material. We assess available originals, inconsistencies, contextual clues and potential source history.

VOICE CLONING / IMPERSONATION

Audio & voice authenticity

Assessing suspicious voice notes, phone recordings and apparent impersonations. We consider the recording itself, how it was obtained and any supporting context that may help explain its origin.

AUTHORSHIP / COMMUNICATIONS

Written content & documents

Reviewing disputed emails, statements, coursework and business communications where authenticity, provenance or possible AI involvement is questioned. We examine histories and corroboration rather than relying on unreliable authorship scores.

SOURCE CHECKS / CORROBORATION

Digital provenance & source tracing

Following the digital trail: source claims, file information, public posts, timestamps, versions and surrounding records. A convincing result comes from building a coherent evidence picture, not trusting one automated test.

A question worth asking

A detector score is an indicator.
It isn't a verdict.

AI-generated and human-created material can share many characteristics. Good investigative work connects technical observations with source evidence, context and sensible limits on certainty.

Who it's for

When digital content
changes the stakes.

Support for people and organisations who need to understand whether material may be genuine, altered or being presented out of context.

Authorship concerns approached fairly, with supporting records and process context.

05

Property & reputation

Questionable listings, identity claims, images or content that may mislead others.

06

Wider investigations

A digital authenticity question examined alongside tracing, OSINT and evidence review.

How Verify works

Not just detection.
Investigation.

A structured process that starts with your question, examines the evidence available and produces conclusions you can understand.

01

Define the question

Tell us what material concerns you, where it came from and what you need to establish. We'll discuss a suitable scope and fee.

02

Preserve & review

Where available, examine original files, messages, metadata, source records and relevant surrounding material.

03

Assess the indicators

Consider anomalies, consistency, origin claims and possible explanations. Automated tools may assist, but they do not decide the result.

04

Explain the findings

Receive an agreed findings summary with observations, supporting information, limitations and useful next steps.

Frequently asked questions

Answers before
you enquire.

Practical guidance on authenticity concerns and how we approach them.

Can Verigate investigate whether an image or video is AI-generated?

Yes. Verigate Verify reviews suspicious images and videos for authenticity indicators, source information and supporting context. We can explore whether material shows signs of synthetic generation or manipulation, then explain the evidence and its limitations.

Can you examine a suspicious voice note or cloned voice?

Yes. We can examine the recording and its circumstances, including possible indicators of synthetic speech, edits or impersonation. Original audio and information about where it came from can be particularly useful.

Can you prove that coursework or a document was written by AI?

We can investigate authorship concerns, document history, versions and available contextual evidence. However, an AI-writing detector alone cannot reliably prove authorship. Our approach is to explain what the available material actually supports rather than offer an unsupported verdict.

Do I need the original files?

Original files are ideal because they may retain useful detail or metadata lost in screenshots and reposts. If you only have a copy, we can still discuss a contextual assessment and the most productive next steps.

Will I receive a written assessment?

Yes. We agree the scope and reporting format before starting. Depending on the instruction, this could be a concise findings summary or a more detailed review of indicators, source material and supporting evidence.

Can I make a confidential enquiry before sending anything sensitive?

Absolutely. Tell us what you suspect and what you're hoping to establish, without sending sensitive originals straight away. We'll explain which material would help and discuss appropriate arrangements for sharing it.
